Austin Tx trip -suggestions?

Happy thanksgiving everyone. We will have some newly found time this week in Austin Tx over the holiday.  Any suggestions from our Travis County cousins on where to take the family and get our fossil fix?

Nice place!!! I've had some luck at Pace Bend Park. but the water level is higher then normal. But I have found some Devil's toe nails? Gastropods, and clams. not much in a way of teeth or Indian artifacts. But I'm only two years new to the area from the North (Minnesota).

 

I find more in the Benbrook area and fortworth if your into a nice drive..

There's Lake Waco but you need a permit to hunt there and the Corp is closed for the holiday.

Hi.. l just joined the forum tonight.  New to fossil collecting, but have lived in Austin for 17 years now. Wondering if you were able to collect anything in the area this weekend, and if you had a good trip We had some nice weather.
