Iguanodon bernissartensis tooth position.

Hi folks,

Can anyone here help me verify which side maxilla this Iguanodon Bernissartensis tooth crown is from?

I think it's a left maxillary tooth crown, based on David Norman's illustrated right maxillary, but I'd like to make sure.

Tooth is from the Brook Bay

Isle of Wight.

Yes, its from the left maxilla as the minor ridge is always anterior to the major ridge.

Lovely tooth with beautiful preservation. Expensive?

Paul, thank you for the confirmation.

Yes, it's in superb condition. It's always been one of my Holy Grail items. I'm very happy to finally get one, and one as beautiful as this one.

It was expensive.

Great tooth Henry, good to see you were able to find out where it fit in the mouth.
Now if only you could tell it it is Iguanodon or mantellisaurus???
