Chrsaaron
I found this fossil about 10 years ago in a field with several other Coral fossils it weighs roughly 2 pounds. Please help figure out what it is.

Darktooth
First pic makes it look like a concretion but the second pic sort of has the shape of an ammonite. But I think it is just a suggestive shape. Lets see what others have to say. 3 I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.
Fossildude19
Welcome to the Forum. My vote for this is Concretion, or nodule. Geologic rather than fossil. The concentric layers are the tell here. Although, it may contain a fossil - search the Forum for Freeze\Thaw Method. Raggedy Man
Im going with concretion. For future reference, some details about the location of a find will help narrow down possibilities. Best regards, Paul 4 ...I'm back.
abyssunder
I would go with concretion/nodule, also. Vieira
I agree, not a fossil, only a concretion.

M Harvey
Probably a concretion. It's been my experience that they are not found in isolation. Were there others? The matrix looks metamorphic. It would also help to see a close up of the "shell" edge to see the crystalline structure.
