Fossil Claw Posted January 3, 2017 Share Posted January 3, 2017 I was given this as a gift. It is tentatively identified is a dinosaur digit bone. Possible theropod. Ridgehiker Posted January 3, 2017 Share Posted January 3, 2017 Your photos are a bit murkey. The last 'sort of' shows the distal end for muscle attachment but might something else. In general theropod bones are thin walled (hollow) and have distinct lateral pits for strong muscle attachment. Ornithomimid metatarsals are a bit less pronounced but they taper in.
