Jfox
I found this fossil I need to clean up a bit. It's 7cm long, smooth and more or less straight. I found it in Richmond, Australia. I think it's a Plesiosaur fossil but I am wondering if anyone has second opinions or can confirm! Edited January 6, 2017 by Jfox
Fossildude19
Welcome to the Forum. Looks a bit more like a belemnite, to me. Plesiosaur teeth have striations, and are slightly curved. Ramon
Agreed with Fossildude19, it's a belemnite "Without fossils, no one would have ever dreamed that there were successive epochs in the formation of the earth" - Georges Cuvier
fifbrindacier
I agree, belemnite. "On ne voit bien que par le coeur, l'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux." Mike from North Queensland
Agree belemnite typical of finds from the quarry at Richmond. My preferred fossicking site. Mike D'Arcy
