Did I find a fossil Armadillo Scute in Post oak creek Grayson Co. Texas?

I came upon this beauty in Post Oak Creek, Sherman; Grayson Co. Texas this past weekend which looks like a very large Armadillo scute.
I didn't think that they migrated into the north Texas region? :zzzzscratchchin:

 It measures 1 1/2" long and 1 1/8" wide.

Definitely looks like an armadillo scute but it isn't Cretaceous.  Giant armadillos and glyptodonts have been recorded from Pleistocene deposits that unconformably overlie Cretaceous sediments in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, though not as commonly as in more southern locations.  Nice find!

I know Koldsimer, I could LIVE in that creek! The rain we had last night probably flipped the gravel nicely. Can't wait to go back.
