ynot
First looks like a tilly bone (fish). Second could be a vert fragment. Third (?) rib fragment. 1 Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." FossilDAWG
I think the first item may be the palm of a crab such as Dakoticancer (note: not a real firm ID on the genus, just a suggestion). The second item may be an Enchodus palatine fang, and the third may be a finger of a decapod crab or lobster, possibly (but again not for certain) Hoploparia. putt510
First pic is something likely invertebrate. It is weird looking. Second pic is piece of enchodus jaw. Third item I would say is enchodus tooth, but could be piece of arthropod claw. Hard to say for sure without seeing it in person, but I would go with enchodus, since there are no bumps on the inside curve, which would say shrimp claw. Usually its shrimp claw rather than lobster claw.
Fossildude19
Brightened the pics of the first item - definitely arthropod of some sort - possibly crab or ghost shrimp. 2 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." Fossildude19
I'm getting more of a bone vibe on the last one. Maybe a turtle claw core? Better picture of the end would help. Fossildude19
Still a bit blurry, ... fingers in focus, fossil isn't. PS - I see a manicure in your future. Take it from someone who does photography, unless he tries different angles thats as good as it will likely get. You can thank Mr. Depth of Field for that. Try more light and I mean more light on the end. If he wants to know for sure just take it to dave parris, but I would be surprised if it actually was a turtle claw core, that would be really hard to find.
The Jersey Devil
The first thing is a fragment of the ghost shrimp Mesostylus mortoni, most likely part of the claw. The second thing is an enchodus jaw piece. The third looks kind of like an enchodus tooth, but I'm not certain. 2 “You must take your opponent into a deep dark forest where 2+2=5, and the path leading out is only wide enough for one.” ― Mikhail Tal
FossilDAWG
I disagree with the Mesostylus ID. The claws of calianassids are smooth, not tuberculated. Don
abyssunder
I think, all of them are crab related fragments/parts, in different preservation status. 2 " We are not separate and independent entities, but like links in a chain, and we could not by any means be what we are without those who went before us and showed us the way. Carl
I agree with Don: crustacean: yes, Mesostylus, no. And the other two pieces are almost certainly Enchodus.
