Sharks of SC
Hello Everyone, I've been working to fill this antique machinist's tool box with my shark tooth collection for a little over a year, and it's finally shaping up nicely. Most of the teeth and fossils are self-collected and most of them are from the area around Charleston, SC. Hopefully I'll need a larger cabinet a year from now. Thanks for having a look! The case itself - The broken/B-grade teeth- Misc. fossils (non-shark) - Carcharocles angustidens, Isurus hastalis, Isurus desori, Isurus retroflexus - Alopias and Parotodus - Hemipristis and Carcharodon carcharias - Larger angustidens & Carcharocles megalodon / Teeth from other locations- Pathologies, oddities, juvenile/posterior angustidens & megalodon - Large angustidens & megalodon -
Sharks of SC
And here's my very little glass display case. Misc. fossils, teeth, and artifact - And that's about the extent of the displayed material that I've found to date. Thanks for looking!! Jeffrey P
A very impressive collection. Congratulations. Nice to have them in a place where they're easily accessible. Looks like you will be needing a new cabinet before long. Not much room left in that one. Thanks for sharing.

sixgill pete
Very nice collection and a great idea for re-using an old tool box. But what is really disheartening is the fact that a tool box that was commonly used when I was in my 20's is now considered an antique; yikes!!!!!! That specimen was collected in the Edisto River, so likely Oligocene in age. But as with any good river deposit, it could've easily washed out from a more recent layer and been redeposited.
