flyfish403
Thanks Dirtdauber, Do you know if they are common to find? We were looking for sharks teeth, but this is a pretty cool find for us!

ynot
I agree with dirtdobber, it is a Ray tooth (Aetobatus sp.) But it is a whole tooth, one of many that make up the plate. Hard to find whole ones. Coco
Yes, Aetobatus (perhaps A. arcuatus if Miocene). Darktooth
Great find! While finding broken pieces of rayplates are very common whole ones are not. Especially whole ones in pristine condition like yours. 1 I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.
megaholic
Not necessarily fossil from there either! "A man who asks is a fool for five minutes. A man who never asks is a fool for life".
fifbrindacier
Maybe not necessarily fossil, but a neat find. "On ne voit bien que par le coeur, l'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux."
