clarevoiyant
Another tooth I acquired from the Hell Creek formation. This one comes from a less well known seller and he identified this as Trex. I don't see the robustness of this tooth and I don't think it is Trex. What could it be then? I have no idea.
Runner64
I think this tooth is tyrannosaur but not quite sure. Mind taking a picture of the cross section?
Troodon
What size is the tooth. Can you take pictures of the base and straight in not at obtuse angles. No fingers in the pictures. Need a closeup of the distal serrations and a count midline over 5mm.

Close up of serrations as attached. 1 hour ago, Runner64 said: I think this tooth is tyrannosaur but not quite sure. Mind taking a picture of the cross section? I've included a cross section view. Runner64
Hm I actually think this one is a Rex. Looks fat like a tyrannosaur and is an oval in the cross section. May we also get some close up photos of the serrations? And can you count how many there are in 5mm?

Close up photo of the serrations with a ruler is as attached above. You prolly just missed it. In 5 mm there are 14 serrations. So what does that mean? Susan from PA
I'll wait for Troodon to give his diagnosis, but it looks like a small T.rex tooth to me as well.
Troodon
I'll agree with everyone and call it T rex. Like the others said the tooths profile at the base is oval so that is consistent with rex morphology as well as its not being compressed. I was curious about the serration count on these small teeth why I asked. This one is 2.8/mm and fits into the Rex range on a study I did and posted it a couple of years back. I used my teeth and sampling size was a dozen teeth of each.
