fossiladdict Posted April 12, 2017 Share Posted April 12, 2017 Adding this to say yes, those are fish scales. See my picture I attached for an example to show you that they are (these are from N. Texas, but not the NSR and it has verts running through the middle as well). Re: the book from DPS, the guidebook that is, it is a great starter book. Sometimes I wished it had better pictures though. Lyla Fossils are simply one of the coolest things on earth--discovering them is just marvelous! Makes you all giddy inside!
