Sperm whale tooth?

Recommended Posts

Found this in a Miocene area.  It is 1 1/2" long.  Is this a sperm whale tooth?  Thank you.

Sperm Whale family -- Kogiopsis is a possibility although this one is small.  The location where the fossil was found matters.. different fossil whales in California than in Florida than in North Carolina

I am thinking Calvert Cliffs and marine mammals slightly smaller than whales,  This TFF thread may help.
