Hi guys,

Here I am with the second fossil that I would like to identify . I am thinking about a cerithium but I am absolutely not sure...

I purchased this fossil about 30 years ago when I was a little child and I don't have any other information on it.

Could you help me, please?

Thank you very much

Alessio

This is a common misconception, the genus orthoceras is only found in Europe and northern Asia and this looks Moroccan . It's probably Geisenoceras...

It would probably be best just to say this is an orthocerid cephalopod.

Thanks a lot for this info. I'm going to use @MarcusFossils suggestion.

It is the first time I read this genus, thanks for the information ;) It has been more than 30 years since I heard the name which I gave for these fossils of Morocco...
