Capone1980
Found this near truman lake, is it a fossilized egg?
Kane
Welcome to the forum. You may wish to retake the photo in brighter light and provide something to indicate scale (such as a ruler). This will help us see the diagnostic details better. Judging from what I'm seeing here, it doesn't appear to have fossilized egg texture. It may be geologic, and not a fossil. Wait for others to chime in. ...How to Philosophize with a Hammer

Fossildude19
Hello, and Welcome to the Forum. Unfortunately, it is not likely to be an egg. I see no egg texture to the shell - and the shell or rind is way too thick to be an egg. Looks like it's probably a sandstone or chert concretion. Cool, though. abyssunder
I agree with the others, it's a concretion. It has a resemblance with the specimen below which is considered to be a calcareous concretion. link to source " We are not separate and independent entities, but like links in a chain, and we could not by any means be what we are without those who went before us and showed us the way.
