Here's a few unusual pics of Odontopteris brardii and Sphenophyllum longifolius from Cory"s Lane. Maybe you've found these guys, too. Age of these beds is Stephanian B?C. Regards, Chris Yes, the fossils at Corys Lane are from the Rhode Island formation, late Pennsylvanian, approximately equivalent to the Stephanian of Europe. approximately 290 million years before present. Here's a link to a diagram of the stratigraphy. (look for the "P" in the diagram, for Portsmouth, RI.) 1 Start the day with a smile and get it over with.
