We find this kind of stuff all the time around here, the yellow stuff in the middle is often way softer than the outside, so you can scratch the different surfaces with a key or wire and see if theres any difference in softness. But its pretty funny that the concretion is shaped like and alligator jaw and I mistook it for that when I first looked at it. 1 If you're a fossil nut from Palos Verdes, San Pedro, Redondo Beach, or Torrance, feel free to shoot me a PM!
