Cretaceous Cenomanian Turtle from Morocco (?)

Dear friends,

Some weeks ago I bought a cretaceous skull from the Cretaceous Cenomanian from Morocco, but I am trying to classify it and I don´t find the proper classification in the bibliography from Morocco.

I am considering that could be some type of species of turtle or even some type of species of other reptile (such as a sea snake).

Could you please help me to define it?

Many thanks!

I'm no expert, but I'm not sure this ones real. @LordTrilobite is good at Moroccan fossils.

If it does turn out to be real, it looks like a turtle. I'm guessing this ones plaster though.

Unfortunately, I think you have purchased a manufactured fossil. :(

There is no separation between any of the skull plates No sutures.

This looks like a poorly carved fake, I'm afraid.

See if you can return it to the seller and get your money refunded. Most Moroccan turtle "skulls" offered for sale are manufactured.

Here is an authentic Moroccan turtle skull that I purchased a few years ago.

Here's a photo I took at the local museum of a Leatherback Turtle skull. Notice the sutures (gaps or breaks) in the skull. It is made up of "plates" not a single bone.

Hi friends,

First of all, thanks for your commments.

I have some other pictures here but from other collectors, and seems some similarities regarding this skull. I am not saying that could not be a fake but if it is, clearly is very dissapointing for me.

I am sure that is not an Allopleuron hoffmani turtle, that @PaleoRon and @DoctorMud provided here.

If this item is not fake, I am currently considering that this species could be Galiamys whitei.

What do you think?

Thank you again for your comments,

Herein I put some additional pictures regarding a rare turtle from the Moroccan Kem Kem basin.

I am not quite sure that this species is also  Galiamys whitei.

Thank you,

All of the other ones you posted ( with the exception of the last one)  look fake, as well.   :(
