CreekDawg
Hi Napoleon. I do not know what that is. I just want to say I am glad you are still on the forum.
ynot
It does look like it could be one, but it needs to be better exposed to be sure. In order to tell what the age is We need to have an accurate location, nearby town or district. Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough." It seems to be Jurassic or Triassic. I found it in Krakow.
ynot
Nice find. Did the pile come from digging on site or as something brought in for fill? Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." I'm no expert, but I do remember hearing somewhere of reptile bones in this area. A little prep (clearing away the rock from the bone) may be necessary for a better ID. ynot
Without seeing more of it all I can say is it does not look like fish. I am not sure it is a vertebra either. Miocene_Mason
This is a nothosaur like bone (humerus I presume) that has a similar beginning to yours (from Poland) “...whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been and are being evolved.” ~ Charles Darwin Happy hunting, Mason
Fossildude19
Looks more like enamel, than bone, to me. abyssunder
Probably I'm wrong, but is there any chance to be a brachiopod? picture from here 3 " We are not separate and independent entities, but like links in a chain, and we could not by any means be what we are without those who went before us and showed us the way. CreekDawg
Looks like a pretty close match. The surface texture even looks right.
Napoleon North
When pulling it is scattered but it looks like a bone not brachipod. See you.
