Beach find..identify??

Anyone have an idea of what this might be? I found it on the beach in Texas, after a hurricane. I'd appreciate any input!

Welcome to TFF.  It is a great place for those who might like fossil hunting. I am scrambling for a thought here... my first take is part of an alligator skull.  Other (experts) will know for sure...
