Fruitbat
Poison ivy, huh? Serves you RIGHT! Having a group of Houstonians coming up here to pillage the North Sulphur River is like watching a swarm of VIKINGS hitting the monasteries on the coast of Britain! Wasn't the World Series enough for you?? (Just kidding, of course!) Good Luck! We haven't had a whole lot of rain around here recently! -Joe Oh...KimTexan...yes, it IS a nice-sized piece of cephalopod from the 'red bed' of the Ozan Formation. Plax
If you have to get into poison ivy use strong percentage rubbing alcohol. It is solvent to urushiol which causes the rash. I concentrate on the undersides of my arms and between the fingers which is where it shows up the worst. Keep in mind that the active ingredient is on your clothing, footwear and possibly transferred to the leading edge of your car seat. I wore waders in it once and then got the rash on the backs of my legs a couple of weeks later when I wore shorts in the truck. I keep 93% alcohol behind the front seat of the truck.
