Ludwigia
Looks like one, doesn't it? Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/
izak_
I think it is. I'm no gastropod expert, but I've never seen any modern terrestrial snails with shells like that.
Napoleon North
it's a lizard's mouth or a mushroom?
Ludwigia
All I see is a red circle with a little black blotch in the middle. Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/

Rockwood
The would be apex looks wrong to me. I'm wondering if it could be a shed snake skin. "I'll just stick this binding old dermis on here and be on my way."
caldigger
I'm thinkin the dark piece ( snail ) is just a small bit of bark or the like and the other item on the left is questionable. Other than having a general "jellyfish" shape, who knows?
Aurelius
Ideally you'd need some very clear, stacked images to get a really clear view.

ynot
The circled part looks like a natural fracture in the amber. At the top edge there is a seam of the crack visible on the surface. I only really use ‘large format cameras’ see pic of me below. I was once using this, about 10 years ago, and a guy came up and asked if it was a black and white camera. While I smiled inside I did tell him colour film is still used in such beasts. We chatted for quite a while and let him throw a cloth over his head and peer through the glass screen on the back. I was actually shooting a glass plate! I do shoot film but mostly plates in such cameras from dinky 5x4 inch up to 12x15 inch. 2 John Map of UK fossil sites
caldigger
Wow, all I can say is I'm glad you grew the beard! YIKES! Just kidding bud!!!! Does that unit show the image upside down like many of those behemoths did? I can read script upside down just as well as I can straight side up, but could never get used to picture images that way. Like Ansel Adams, I have downsized my photo gear as I have gotten older...
