So, very very close!

What an incredibly tight contest between two beautiful and rare sea urchins.

But the best urchin won, in my opinion! :yay-smiley-1:

Congratulations, a truly beautiful and important find.

Congrats on the find and the win! It was a very hard fought competition. I have never before seen anything like your specimen from the Pennsylvanian. A very deserving winner!

That is a remarkable echinoid; I would never have expected anything like that to come out of the Carboniferous!  :envy:

The other competitors this month were also amazing, especially (to me) the Albertella.  It seems every month our TFF community comes up with a veritable museum worth of quality fossils for consideration.
