It is a great mystery as to how these mammals (there are only a small handful) get out into the lake beds. I think washing in from a local river is the best answer. Another mystery... there are many more birds known form the Green River Fm, but most of them are NOT water birds. Forest birds. Why so many forest birds and so few water birds? Take a look at the Messel outcrop. Most of vertebrates fossils are not water vertebrates. Sometimes was an effusion of gas from the Messel lake and killed all the vertebrates around 3 http://www.paleotheque.fr

BadlandTraveller
How flexible are most dealers on price? Do you always bargain a bit troodon?

They are all different but always try to bargin. If you are dealing with the Morrocans especially in a tent it's a must and hard and be willing to show them you will walk away even if you don't. Most dealers give you something off but it's less at the beginning of the show than at the end? No one wants to go home with product. Some are firm and don't bargin, and over the years you get to know them. On a side note few dealers deal with credit cards but most all take checks and cash is king. Some will do PayPal. Best to deal in cash with tent dealers
