It kind of looks fishy and it seems that it has been painted on... It is almost too perfect. What do you think? Sorry this is the only picture. Overall look is ok, and matrix is (one of the) usual one. Shape of Keich shows no alerting red flags. Cheers These are commonly poorly prepared, and as a result, often painted. The first photo is just a brightened version of the photo you posted. The second has black and white reversed. This can sometimes show the difference between paint and actual bones. This shows me that the ribs are mostly painted in, due to the unevenness of the rib configuration. The last picture is just a blown up, lightened version of your original pictures. Crazyhen Posted February 26, 2018 Share Posted February 26, 2018 I think this is a genuine one but some parts are painted. As usual, this is an acid prepped specimen with much of the bones corroded.
