Hi all!

Im beginner collector, and about to pull the trigger on one meg tooth. Here are some pictures I'm deciding from, please give your thoughts, and help with a decision! If you like a tooth please comment on it, if you see one maybe I should avoid, please do the same. I know it's all a matter of preference, but please give your thoughts. ;)

Looking for the best Bang for Buck! If you could, place your top 3,5,10 or just general opinions, so I can narrow it down. Im just trying to have some fun with this thread!

These pics are in no particular order.

You need to decide which tooth you like.  Features I believe are important are good serrations, no chunks missing from crown and root, minimal enamel peel.

I agree with Troodon.

My personal preference is a more complete tooth vs a larger tooth. On the other hand, Mrs.SA2 prefers size and color rather than over all quality.

It's personal preference.

The prices looked reasonable.

You might want to just follow these for a while; learn what they actually sell for, and which ones appeal to your esthetics most. Don't rush because you're afraid you'll miss out; there are thousands of these available, with more coming to market every day.
Honestly, knowing what you like is pretty fundamental to making regret-free decisions.;)

18, 8 & 4 are my choices, assuming no restoration. They all look like N or S Carolina (or nearby states) so no rarity factor. Buy what you like, or take some more time and do your homework. A quality tooth, even a small one, is often better than a damaged specimen, but for some locations, you have to take what you can get. Your choice depends on if you want a top quality tooth, a colorful tooth, a rare location or just the biggest tooth you can afford.

None stand out to you?

Yes but everyone has a different taste and mine might not be yours.   I gave you my key features but you need to purchase what turns you on not me.

18 teeth are a bit ridiculous.  Who's got time for that?  Narrow it down to 2 or 3 and then ask.

I'd take number 18. Nice color. Very well preserved. But that's my choice. You need to make your own.

I agree that 18 is the best overall. But I agree that it is you  that must pick what appeals to you more. I myself prefer a smaller perfect tooth over a larger imperfect one.

Ive listened to all y'all have had to say. Ive ran the numbers. Done the calculations. Cross analyzed.  :)  and I think Ive came to a decision.

Although, I would still like to know which tooth Mr. Troodon was so hesititant to say he preferred. If he may be so kind. ;)

Awesome! Well, due to a tight budget and several hours of pondering I chose number 1. This was a really hard choice, between 1,3,5,18. 3 sold as I was looking at it.

Thanks guys!

#1 is a nice tooth with a little damage but I think you will be pleased once it is in your hand.:)
