indominus rex
This was from a pile of shark I bought from a seller in Belgium. I believe this one is from Antwerp. I have no idea what shark it is. Could it be a type of Mako? Any information would be helpful. Regards, indominus rex. Life started in the ocean. And so did my interest in fossils. gigantoraptor
It does not look like the preservation I know from Antwerp, but I have no Idea where it could be from.
Darktooth
Possibly Isurus retroflexus? I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.
Miocene_Mason
I’m not great with Mako species but it certainly looks very Isurus-like. “...whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been and are being evolved.” ~ Charles Darwin Happy hunting, Mason
CharlotteG
I agree with @gigantoraptor, it doesn’t look like the preservation of Antwerp sharkteeth. When it comes to species I’m torn between hastalis and oxyrinchus, but I lean more to the hastalis determination. (It’s certainly not a retroflexus since it misses the labial ridge)
