Mahnmut
Same Story again, looking whart i can make of a bought model that has been around for some time. Another marine tetrapod. To be perfectly clear, This is a commercially bought Model which I changed to my ideas.Like my marine sloth and most of my dino- and other saurian ,models, but not my whales. I ordered the model from geoworld because some of the line had been quite nice. When I first saw it I didn´t think I could make something for my collection out of it. Trying it anyway. Scaled size and approximate proportions of Futabasaurus, not reallyenough detail to tell. Mahnmut
Hi there, that´s a lot of popcorn! And plesiosaurs didn´t even appear in Jurassic park! I am going to cut some ribs today, that´s not that fascinating, but I´ll keep you updatet. Mahnmut
Done except for minor details. I am not perfectly happy with the ribs that I carved from the original one-piece-ribcage. But as Plesiosaurs had relatively thick ribs I thought these might fit better than the wire I used on the mosasaur. Mahnmut
Ahoi, I got lazy and simply put the Pliosaur skull (Liopleurodon) next to the Plesiosaur instead of building a new postcranial. On the other hand it saves room and at least i made the skull completely from scratch (i.e. carving foam, fimo and toothpics.) Like the result.
