Very odd. 

Crocodiles survived despite eating toxins, but they wouldn't have eaten many flowers one supposes. 

Hay fever sufferers will be able to sympathize with the dinosaurs. 

is that the next theory? Hay fever caused the decline of herbivorous dinosaurs? 

And what's a "herbivorous plant" ? (fourth paragraph).
