Benjaminpb
I found this fossil in the North Sulphur River. The only thing that I think fits is a flipper bone to a Cretaceous mosasaur. Any thougts?

Bone guy
It almost reminds me of a weathered down vertebrae but I'm no expert.
Jazfossilator
It does look like a mosasaur flipper bone shoulder girdle
Miocene_Mason
Looks more like a phalange to me but I am no expert... “...whilst this planet has gone cycling on according to the fixed law of gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most beautiful and most wonderful have been and are being evolved.” ~ Charles Darwin Happy hunting, Mason
Macrophyseter
I also think that it may be a mosasaur phalange. Here are a bunch of Tylosaurus phalanges from Kansas as an example. 1 If you're a fossil nut from Palos Verdes, San Pedro, Redondo Beach, or Torrance, feel free to shoot me a PM! Benjaminpb
That's what I was thinking. Thank you!
Ramo
Those phalanges that Macrophyseter has posted are plesiosaur, not mosasaur. Mosasaur phalanges are much longer. That said, I'm not sure what your fossil is Benjaminpb. It could be a plesiosaur phalange, but I think it is not flat enough for that. My guess would be a badly eroded mosasaur vert., or possibly turtle material. Benjaminpb
Thank's for the input Ramo. at this point it's really a question mark I guess. I have mosasaur verts and this looks nothing like it. If it's a vert then it's the most worn one I've ever found. It doesn't look like anything I've been able to find pictures of, other than a phalange. I'm not saying you're wrong though. I guess I'll just shrug my shoulders until I find out for sure. I have a couple more finds like this one that I posted that went mostly ignored. maybe because I posted a few at once....I dunno.

You can always bump them to see if someone can help. Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough."
