fifbrindacier
Hi, i went back to one of my favorite site and found those pièces on the foreshore. I thought they could be coprolites but i need the specialists' advise like @GeschWhat. The little squares you see are half a centimeter. Monica
In the third picture for #4 it looks like there's evidence of a siphuncle...is it possible that what you have is a cephalopod?

Carl
I guess they could be coprolites but I'm not seeing details that would completely convince me.

abyssunder
Maybe they are burrows of some sort, or just geological wonders. 1 " We are not separate and independent entities, but like links in a chain, and we could not by any means be what we are without those who went before us and showed us the way. I'm 100% not sure it is a coprolite, but it has the right shape AND looks like it has predation traces. Perhaps something feeding on whatever burrowed in next to the marks. I am actually researching coprolites in my collection that have similar traces. Do these stick to your tongue? Do they feel gritty or smooth? I have a number of burrows (a bunch from Poland and one from France) that stick to your tongue, but they feel gritty and and more granular than what I see in coprolites. 2 Lori www.areallycrappystory.com/fossils www.facebook.com/fossilpoo
