With its odd shape, I've been puzzled as to what bone in the whale it was: Flip side: End with protrusion: Flip: Every single fossil you see is a miracle set in stone, and should be treated as such. Hard to find good reference material, but it does have that flat triangular, stretched-out look from what i can see..
