eevans
You all were so unbelievable in quickly identifying my septarian concretion yesterday, I would like to press my luck. I found this rock last summer near Durango, Colorado. It was in an area thought to be used by Native Americans. Many Thanks! EE

ynot
I agree with Tim, counter septarian. Nice find, even though it is not a fossil. Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." digit
Yup. Counter septarian--be sure to check out Tim's link above. It's one of the coolest (naturally forming) rocks I've ever seen. Could easily appear to be some sort of extra-terrestrial Mayan calendar rock if you didn't know the geological science behind its formation. Nature is a pretty impressive artist sometimes. Cheers. -Ken
abyssunder
Definitely that. Tim has a good visual memory. Excellent and rare find, eevans! Congrats! I thought I will never see another one in my life, and here it is...
