Plantguy
Hey Roger, stellar work on very cool subjects!! I've got a bunch of barnacle clusters from around here that I've been meaning to practice on and hopefully not completely destroy and I'm curious as to what prep tool you used. Is that a limestone matrix--are the oysters the same hardness as the matrix? Regards, Chris

The shells are much harder than the matrix. Just used the stylus to trim the block down to size. Greetings from the Lake of Constance. I have an affinity for taxa that don't fall under the category of what one might call "charismatic palaeofauna" (can I get an "amen", Adam @Tidgy's Dad?). If properly prepped they can be stunning, as you have exhibited here You can get an Amen from me too... One man's "just bivalves" are another man's treasure.
