Mineral Wells Fossil Park, June 2018

Recommended Posts

After about an hour of prep I can add another taxon to my June collection at Mineral Wells.  This is the large brachiopod Linoproductus cora. Inset shows spinous hinge. Scale in cm/mm.

I'm a little late viewing this, but great report!

Thanks Wrangelian.  MWFP fulfilled a "bucket list" item.:)

I've got Jacksboro on my bucket list but chances are I'll never make it there. Mineral Wells looks like it's just as good (but just as unlikely for me to make it there).

Mineral Wells is all of 30-45 minutes south of Jacksboro. And the better motels are in Mineral Wells. So if you ever get out here you can easily do both in a weekend if not a day.

I know they're close together, but both so far from me - that's why I said it's unlikely that I'll ever make it to either!
