Bone guy
I found this halisaurus premax on the favorite auction site. It's pretty cool, one associated tooth is still in place in the front. But just underneath the premax the matrix is filled with shark verts. Does this association mean anything? I find it odd that a mosasaur jaw ended up on top of a bunch of shark verts.....is there a chance the two animals died combating each other? caldigger
Those look like fish verts to me.
Troodon
No. If you look at any matrix block from Morocco fish vertebrae are typically found in them. Just a lot of fish in that fauna.
Tidgy's Dad
Yup, fish verts, often found mixed up with everything else from here. 1 Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.

Troodon
Here is a block I took a photo of at the Tucson fossil show. Its full fossils from other animals along with mosasaur jaw sections, very natural. Its a good indicator that it has not been tampered with since most of those elements are very fragile.
