mazza
Hi, I'll be visiting the Buxton area of Derbyshire and hope to find some fossils. I've read that Halldale Quarry and Butts Quarry are good sites. Are these sites still accessible and is collecting allowed? Thanks for any info. PaleoNoel
Although I've never been to the UK, I frequent this fossil website which gives great details about many of the sites there. UKFossils.com- Butt's Quarry

t-tree
The last time i went to Halldale quarry the entrance was fenced off as they are getting ready to build houses on the lower ground. Be happy while you're living for you're a long time dead.
