fossilnoggin
Hi, stopping at in Greenville for a night on our way to Charleston for vacation. Looking for advice on where to park, stream access, if any part of the stream has more Cretaceous vs. Miocene etc... any tips would be much appreciated. Will be me, my two boys and our dog. Thank you.
PaleoNoel
If I remember correctly, there is parking off of E 5th street by what I think was a catholic high school (across the road). Then once you park, there's a trail that goes alongside the run and certain points have access to the water. But be careful if there was rain the previous night or the weather looks like it will rain because the creek can flood easily and become inaccessible. RickNC
Greensprings and Elm Street Parks are the two best parking locations. There are some distinct Cretaceous exposures but in most cases you want to sift gravel which consists of fossils of varying ages.
