Looking for identification for this bone. Possible femur or humerus of a turtle? Found in Manatee County, Florida. Looks like the head of a femur from some mammal.

Don't know much about history

Don't know much biology

Don't know much about science books.........

Welcome to TFF! As for your femur, there's no point in trying to distinguish such an incomplete specimen to a certain species or genus, sometimes even a whole bone is not enough to show what animal it belonged to, if I were you I wouldn't try doing any more research towards this bone as there is almost no way you could really ID it any further than 'femur'.

I agree with the femur head, but how did you reach the conclusion that this was from a mammal?
