MamaRose
I Was climbing rocks in central Missouri when i went into a deep crevice (aprox 3 meters down) i found a large "tooth" It is fairly smooth and was grown into some tree roots. Is this just a lucky shaped rock, or a fossil?
Fossildude19
Welcome to the Forum. I see no enamel which would indicate it as a tooth. I also see no bone texture. I think you have a suggestively shaped/worn/eroded piece of sandstone. ynot
Welcome to TFF! I agree with Tim. A piece of sandstone with a suggestive shape. (way too big for any teeth I know of.) 1 Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough." abyssunder
It could be very well a concretionary structure in sandstone (as it was suggested before), or maybe a burrow cast, similar to Thalassinoides isp., considering its "Y" shape preservation.
