Sahara Desert Fossil ID Help

Recommended Posts

Hi all!

I got a box with some fossils from my father who got it form my grandpa.

It seems they were collected in Sahara desert, in the south of Marocco region.

I was able to identify some of them (enrolled trilobites, crinoids, etc...) but can't identify the one in the attached pictures.

Of course, I'm not an expert on fossils. Just that I love it and want to know more about it.

Could you please help me identify it?

Many thanks!

Greetings from Madrid!

The coral Calceola sandalina from the Devonian of Morocco, I believe.

Very nice specimen.

Probably from Smara.
