Godrel
Found this in a stream in Bowling Green, Kentucky along with plenty of plant fossils that were in clay like rocks
Darktooth
I think that the pattern on this rock is geological and not a fossil. 2 I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.

Innocentx
Slim chance a pile of bivalve steinkerns, but @Darktooth is probably correct. The thing that interests me are what look like trackways on the lower part. 1 "Journey through a universe ablaze with changes" Phil Ochs

But now that you mentioned it, maybe a close-up of that would be in order. I like Trilo-butts and I cannot lie.

Rockwood
Could they be sort of bivalve steinkerns, but more in line with poorly preserved teredo borings ? The "trackways" being a different angle of sectioning.
Innocentx
I have similar that are bivalve steinkerns. However, I think what @Godrel has is an actual trackway and not borings, as this appears to be the top of bedding plane. Maybe it's a bilobate locomotion trace. I'm trying to compare these two pictures: comparative picture from M. G. Mangano et al. 1998. Contrasting Behavioral and Feeding Strategies Recorded by Tidal-Flat Bivalve Trace Fossils from the Upper Carboniferous of Eastern Kansas. PALAIOS 13: 335-351 Maybe the other features, visible in the lower-right area in picture D, are similar to the ones in question. 3 " We are not separate and independent entities, but like links in a chain, and we could not by any means be what we are without those who went before us and showed us the way.
