hndmarshall
darn think they are too big now and still a bit blurred. Have added a better pic of top of possible tooth.
ynot
No tooth. Bone fragment is to worn to ID. It would help if Your light source was not behind the object being pictured. The object should be in full light, on the side You are taking the picture from. Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough." ynot
Thanks for the better pictures. Both pieces are bone fragments beyond identification. Still no tooth. Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." hndmarshall
I think I am still leaning toward tooth on this one not fragment not giving up on it too soon ... the flat area is the top, this is a flat tooth not a pointed one ... but it still is badly worn seen some online that are similar in size and shape ... going to do some searching and looking before I toss it in my bone chip pile. but there is always the chance it could be another look alike... The sides are clearly bone, and not root material or enamel. I think the "top" of the tooth may be a worn articulating surface/joint. Sorry, but I don't see a tooth in this item. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks."
