indominus rex
Hello, I recently bought this tooth and it was labelled as a Pliosaur tooth. I was wondering if this is true as I haven’t seen many fossils from Goulmima. Life started in the ocean. And so did my interest in fossils. As far as i am aware, there is only 1 species of Pliosaur described from that area Brachauchenius Lucasi https://www.cambridge.org/core/journals/geological-magazine/article/new-record-of-the-pliosaur-brachauchenius-lucasi-williston-1903-reptilia-sauropterygia-of-turonian-late-cretaceous-age-morocco/1043602644BD12062A7E35791454A50C I have a couple of teeth from that area which are likely Pliosaur in origin, here are a few pictures to compare with

But there haven’t been any Mosasaur fossils recorded from that area. Life started in the ocean. And so did my interest in fossils.

IIRC Tethysaurus has been described from that area and is a Mosasauroid, though looking at the teeth of that marine reptile, it doesn't look that similar and your tooth has less of a curve, here is a picture of a Tethysaurus jaw + teeth for comparison..... talon22
You could also try asking a Plesiosaur expert such as the one on this site - http://plesiosaur.com/. His name is Richard and he might be able to help identify the tooth. Might be worth a try.
