Anyone know any good places near Sydney, Australia

I was just wondering as I have researched fossils around Sydney and found most places are closed if anyone knew any good places to hunt. (:

Hello! 

 

Best place to hunt near Sydney is at the Turimetta Headland. There you can find plant fossils and some extremely rare fish and amphibian fossils. It is around 30km north of Sydney and is probably the best place to hunt close to Sydney if you are on holiday and are restricted to Sydney. If you want to venture a little further, the cliffs around Wollongong are a good place to look around. You can find worn pieces of petrified wood along the beaches and shell and plant fossils in the cliffs. Wollongong is around an hour south of Sydney.
