BlindFool
Greetings all! I have found another Keichousaurus that looks very interesting. I do have some concerns about it, mostly the head looks almost drawn on (could just be me). Let me know what you all think! Fossildude19
It looks OK. Real, but some of the toes look to be painted on, and the skull looks entirely painted, to me. 5 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." snolly50
Most jarring to my casual glance is the apparent disparate sizing of the feet. 3 Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, also are remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. - Douglas Adams, Last Chance to See

Yet again thank you for the inputs, the pictures are very helpful!
Crazyhen
I agree with Tim that the head and some of the digits are painted. Some nicely preserved specimens do have teeth but the teeth of this specimen look too neat to be true. Look at the attached pictures of one of my specimens for comparison.

This kind is called the "natural form" locally, that is, the slab is split into two and there you have the fossil. No acid washing or manual prepping is done. The natural form is relatively rare and the most expensive type.

I’ve wanted to get a keichousaurus for about 10 years now. But back then I actually purchased one and canceled it after reading they were all fake. I had cold feet, but I’m willing to try again now that I know they aren’t all fake most are just enhanced.

Yes indeed I am lucky to be close to the source, and I have wanted to get a Keichousaurus for 20 years, and I got my first Keichousaurus two years ago. Now more of course. Keichousaurus is a rather common fossil, though there are fake ones out there, most are genuine. The point is most are not very well prepped.
