BenHE
Hi, I’m new to this site and currently trying to get some of my different fossils identified, for I do not know too much about them. Here are two shark teeth that I can’t ID. At first I thought the larger one was a megalodon tooth but after more research I am uncertain. I found the larger one on folly beach, SC, and the smaller one in a Summerville ditch. Thanks!
Macrophyseter
Ironically, the smaller tooth is the megalodon. The larger tooth is a great white. Great finds nonetheless. Merry Christmas 1 If you're a fossil nut from Palos Verdes, San Pedro, Redondo Beach, or Torrance, feel free to shoot me a PM!
BenHE
Thanks so much that’s great to hear. I actually was thinking that the root on the smaller tooth looked very much like a meg.
