Fossils -Little River, SC

Has anyone been fossil hunting at, in or on Little River, SC?  If so, where is a place to hunt that is legal and not on private property?  I've never hunted a river before and don't know how to go about it.  Any suggestions welcome. Or if anyone knows other rivers near North Myrtle Beach to hunt?  Thanks!

I can't speak about Little River fossil sites specifically because I've never hunted there and have only passed through the area briefly. However, be aware the "river" is a tidal inlet and the connected intercoastal waterway. There won't be many sites to hunt on the river without a boat. Also, with all the rain we've had, coastal rivers are high. The Edisto is near flood stage and will not have anywhere to hunt on foot in the near future. The Wacamaw is up as well.

I've never hunted Myrtle Beach, but I've seen a fair amount of stuff reported on here from that beach. Winter is a good time for beach hunting. I think the beaches may be your best bet up there right now.
