What bothers me about this kind of fossil room is that sea urchins with spikes are reconstructed. Do we know exactly if this species has any kind of spikes ? Are the larger ones on or under or on the sides ?
It seems to me that there are far too many thorns on the periphery and not one on the top !
The result is very pleasant visually, but on the scientific side I am not sure of the veracity, I hope in any case that the thorns belong to the species...
Coco

I wondered the same thing. I can't say what they would have looked like in life but I would expect there to be some on top as well.

Maybe the prepper intended this to look like the urchins had just died and the spines fell off around the sides?

Every fossil show needs megs. Love the big black one. And wow, I would sell my house to have some of that stuff.

That's all I have!  There are many many more fossils at the show that I did not take pictures of.  I'm mostly interested in dinosaur material so that's what my pictures are of.  If anyone else has pictures from the show please feel free to post them here!

Thanks for posting.

I would have been like a child in a sweet shop!

Thanks for posting these pics so folks like me who can't make it can still enjoy Tucson 2019!

Looking forward to meeting my fellow Singaporean collectors! Do PM me if you are a Singaporean, or an overseas fossil-collector coming here for a holiday!

This photo reel of Tuscon show is off the charts...no, off the planet....no, out of this universe!  Thank you for taking the time to share those.  I've been meaning to make the trek to that show for years, but never can break free.  Now, because of pics, I almost don't have to.  Almost.

As per another recent thread, every specimen photoed here should be in every fossil collector's collection  :)  :D !!!!

I'm currently in Tucson for the show. Which show/location is this display at? I'd love to visit it before I leave on Sunday.

So I got back from Tucson a few days ago and thought I'd post some pictures for all to see!  Pictures got downloaded out of order when I had to shrink the size to make them compatible for the forum.  Sorry I can't ID everything for you guys like @Troodon did last year.  Enjoy!

Let's start with my favorite topic... eggs!

French Eggs:

A perfect and complete raptor nest from China:

I'm in Tucson until Sunday for the show. Where were the dino eggs at? I'd love to see them before I leave.

Most of the eggs belong to Paleo-passion in the Days Inn, I think he moved a few of them to the market place on oracle. The raptor nest is in the gallery that is next to the hotel Tucson city center (I can’t remember the name of the gallery). The large French nest and the full casts are all at the 22nd street show in the smaller tent they have on the property.

Has anyone seen a fossil for sale before now with the restriction that it is only sold to an institution?

yeah, I have seen this before.  Sometimes if a specimen is scientifically interesting a dealer will insist it goes to a museum/university.
