fossilizedcorgi
Hey guys, I was thinking this was some sort of mastodon related baby tooth however I am now unsure. Right around 2" in diameter, 1.5" in width and maybe .75" in height. Thanks, corgi

fossilizedcorgi
Unfortunately none given, it was part of an estate collection. The inscription read "3rd Milk Molar". Most of the other stuff in the collection is from North/South America area however there is no real way to know if it was shipped from elsewhere. D.N.FossilmanLithuania
It is rhino for sure based on shape and the location of enamel layers. Talking about preservation I would think it is quite young- probably Neogene or Pleistocene in age.

Harry Pristis
I don't recognize this as a rhino tooth. It's too bad that most of these images are of the bottom of the tooth. http://pristis.wix.com/the-demijohn-page What seest thou else In the dark backward and abysm of time? ---Shakespeare, The Tempest
