fossil_sea_urchin
The seller says this tooth is from compton bay on the isle of wight, England. Is it rare or high quality.
Tidgy's Dad
The pictures are too small to be able to tell. 1 Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.
fifbrindacier
Yes, really too small. If you have difficulties to charge your photos at a "normal" size, you can use the answering function to post the second one. 1 "On ne voit bien que par le coeur, l'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux." Runner64
Pictures are too small. Regardless, I think you’ll have troubles coming up with an ID because identifying Theropod teeth from IOW is troublesome.
TyBoy
Pictures are needed but the first question to be asked is the ID correct. It will be difficult like Runner64 said but we can try. You cannot accurately ID jurassic teeth from just photos. To properly try to ID it at a minimum you will need a photo showing both carinae. A midline density count for both edges 5 mm wide. Need to know the width and length at the base to do a CBR. We have Neovenator morphologies in the Portuguese and German fauna might get something close. Any large theropod tooth from the UK is indeed rare.
